What's next for YAHOO?

Microsoft withdrew its $ 47.5 billion bid, and consequently Yahoo's shares fell 14%. Jerry Yang, the CEO of Yahoo, believes the company is worth more than Microsoft is offering and feels the company is now stronger after going through the Microsoft ordeal. It may or may not have been a good idea for Yahoo to walk away from the deal. If Yahoo can pick itself up and become a stronger company, then it was a good decision for Yahoo. If the company continues to struggle they could be forced to take an even lower bid, if Microsoft even decides to come back with another offer. Or replace Jerry Yang who started the company 14 years ago.

I feel Yahoo can get up and dust itself off, but it's going to take major changes. If Yahoo can't convince it’s shareholders to hold on, it's going to be an even steeper hill to climb. Whatever Yahoo decides, it will have to act quickly or investors will start jumping ship.

Good Luck Yahoo!
