Back Testing
Back testing is defined as optimizing a trading strategy on historical data and applying it to fresh data to see how well the strategy works. In other words, you actually look at past charts, price movements, etc to determine a trading strategy that would have yielded high returns in the past. You could then apply that strategy to the current market in the hopes that it will have similar results in the future.
DaytradeTeam uses computerized back testing methods to test new trading systems, adjust current systems and improve our trading results. Unlike our competitors however, we do not try to fool you with backtested, hypothetical results (which are always better than real trading because they are traded using hindsight).
